Wee Haul

I'm passionate about buying things I don't need with money I don't have, so earlier this week (along with a pending ASOS order) I was pleased as punch to call this little group of beauties my own :)

L-R: Seventeen Eye Eye Crayon in 'Molten Metal', Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Polish in 'Sky High', Good Things Stay Clear Purifying Cleanser, Seventeen Miracle Matte Pressed Powder in 'Soft Beige', Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in 'Dark Brown' and Rimmel Scandeleyes Shadow Stick in 'Beige Matte'.

I love eye crayons: I'm pretty lazy and I usually prioritise five more minutes in bed over actually bothering to make myself look like a girl in the morning, so the two beautiful eye products here are perfect for me! They have a good colour payoff too, so are definitely a worthwhile purchase. The only drawback with the Seventeen crayon is that it requires a sharpener (no twisting involved) and that I don't own one big enough :(((

I LOVE the Seventeen pressed powder, although I dropped it on my shelf and it's no longer pressed! I have particularly red, shiny skin so I have to use an opaque, beige powder with staying power, and this one ticks all the boxes - it also comes with a mirror which is always a plus on the go.

Rimmel Match Perfection is my fave foundation of the moment, I'm just finishing off a bottle of Wake Me Up which *shoooooooooooock* I haven't loved (I find it a bit stodgy). But Match Perfection is lovely - it's very lightweight and leaves my skin feeling fresh and radiant. This is definitely a must have for lovers of a dewy finish. I'm a dewy cheek lover :)

AND... The Good Things Cleanser was yellow stickered in Tesco (it was £2 something!!!) because it had leaked a bit - yessss!
I love Good Things - the products are so kind to my skin and just do the job properly. The brand was created to only use 'good' ingredients too (hence the name), so is animal test free and is top news for sensitive skin.

As mini shopping trips go, I think I can label this one as a SUCCESS.

Thanks all for now, see you on the flip!

OOTD: Lunch with Mum

I'm working full time at the moment as I'm off Uni for Easter, which is still a treat (no deadlines, woot woot). I had a random day off today (on a Thursday... life is crazy) and I had a big bag of old clothes to drop off at a charity shop, so Mum and I made an afternoon of it: we lunched and basked in the beautiful sun in a local town.

Tee Zara Jeans Topshop

If you've ever been to North Staffordshire, you'll know that this is quite a dressy get-up. Put a dress on, and you'll be mistaken for a Royal. I'm one to to push boundaries, so I do like occasionally opting to not wear jeans, but today was a day to blend in with the crowds.

Jacket Vintage Envelope Necklace Bought via Instagram from Victoria's Vintage

I LOVE this jacket, it was an absolute steal (£12 at a vintage show in Chester)! Putting it on is like eating good cheese. Instant gratification.

Bag Outlet store by Manchester Piccadilly Nails Seventeen Lasting Fix in 'Fairy Cake'

This bag was also a bargain - I think it was £12, and I love the colour. For any locals, the store is on the left on the road from Piccadilly Station from town - I think it's called 'Super Discount Store' (haha). The nails are boring, but they have to be with days at work both yesterday and tomorrow! I love Seventeen nail varnishes and this one is worth it for the name alone *squeezes fists due to name cuteness*

We went to the cutest little cafe with vintage decor and mismatched old crockery, which filled me with glee! I had an Earl Grey (because you can't go wrong with an Earl Grey) and a scrambled egg muffin with smoked salmon. It was DEEEElightful and afternoons like this are what makes going to work every other day worthwhile!

I also cheated *slaps wrist* and had a parsnip cake (Mum's idea) which was the stuff of dreams.

Thanks for reading, see you soon!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Number One.

It's Blog O'Clock!

I did it! I bit the blog bullet. It's been a long time coming, and I have spent SO long admiring the work of blog masteresses... so much so that I knew that my blog time was coming. And that time is now.

So, here's hoping that this is the start of something beautiful (and more than pure procrastination) and that this wee blog may open up a few doors for me! I'm so excited to see what's to come.

I guess that's all for now...... or is it.... so much suspense already.

(it is)

Cheerio! X
