Inspiration from Mr Ryan

My favourite homeware/ artsy ware/ pointless stuff I somehow justify needing but definitely, definitely don't brand at the moment is definitely Rob Ryan! I have the calendar this year and I'm already getting sad for the end of 2014 because it's so so pretty and brings me a little inspiration every day.

I love the honest, real feel of the stories his pieces tell, and the overall design of every piece is just stunning - one day I hope to be rich and deck my home out with RR cushions, kitchenware and canvases galore.

Just look at these beautiful designs!

In other news, I'm a bit hungover after a (not very) mental night at Popworld last night. I have a rare block of TWO DAYS OFF so I'm going to have a long bath, do a few face masks, catch up on the Bake Off and have a massive lie in tomorrow - perfection. X

Sunny(ish) Days in Norfolk

Haha, it's  a good job I don't have a regular post schedule... work has been soooo busy over the last week or so, and I had the clever idea of signing up to a 9 day run, which I'm over halfway through now. I'm running off air and going a bit hysterical but hopefully it'll all be worth it come payday.

Howeverrrr I had a few days off last week so my good pal Naomi and I put it to good use and went on a budget tour around Norfolk! I'd never been to that part of the country before but now I can't wait to go back again - there are so many gorgeous little hidden places and loads to explore. We camped  in three campsites and stayed in a wee B&B in Great Yarmouth (rain, rain, rain and a fun re-enactment of Four in a Bed).

We made prettiness a priority and filled our tent with cushions, throws and bunting, and even though it was bladdy freezing at times, we were happy campers. Cromer and Wells are the most beautiful places to stay if you ever consider Norfolk - I looove the sea and the little villages are just so idyllic and rustic!!

It was so nice to be away for a while... I'm excited for my next adventure!!

(Late) July Favourites feat. They're Real Push-up Liner Dupe!!

I've made a few too many Boots visits in the past few weeks (has everyone downloaded the app?! It's like a gift from the angels) and I've picked up a few little items that have been a godsend to my wee face!!

L-R: Avon Perfect Eyebrow Kit My new absolute go-to product for brows on a daily basis. This includes a gel formula which I use first, and an incredibly pigmented powder to fill in and define brows. I use an eyeshadow brush for this - does anyone else find filling in brows soooo satisfying??

Seventeen Stamp Blushers I adore this concept!! They can be 'stamped' directly onto cheek apples for a pop of colour. Blending with translucent powder is a definite must though unless you want a random perfect circle of pink on your cheeks!

No7 Lash & Brow Perfector This clear gel is such a lifesaver, especially on brows. One sweep through and they're set for the day - perfect.

Avon SuperShock Gel Eyeliner Pen I snapped this up as soon as I laid my eyes on it in the brochure, and it actually is what it's snapped up to be! I've had a few fallings out with liquid eyeliner recently because it just slips about all over the place and makes me look like I've got an injury, but gel in a pot is just too hard! This bad boy is basically a dupe for the new Benefit eyeliner and is a gorgeous formula that stays on all day - definite winner.

Bourjois Happy Light Luminous Serum Primer I LOVE Bourjois and this lovely primer does not disappoint. I find that moisturising beforehand is a must otherwise this could be drying, but it definitely improves the lasting power and luminosity (word??) of my make-up :)

Anyone else found some bargains worth shouting about this month??

PS. I dropped it on the floor so I forgot to photograph it but I meant to include the Soap & Glory It's About Prime Eyeshadow Primer - it's good!!

I ♥ London

Oh my gosh, it has been a while! I'm so bad at this sometimes but I really have been busy over these last couple of weeks with long hours at work and trying to be as sociable as I can! Bloggo has had to take a backseat, but I have a few post ideas in the pipeline, so hopefully I'll be back and good as new in no time!!

I spent this weekend in London with two of my absolute besties and we had such a lovely time - we shopped, ate (A LOT), did 10% shots in our hostel room (classy), ridiculously fraped each other (picture this... 'I've got the part! I'm playing the bodyguard in The Bodyguard with Alexandra Burke!! (Kevin Costner plays him in the film') and laughed and laughed and laughed.

I loooove weekends like this with top people - I'd much rather spend my income on memories :)

Footwear Fortunes

I think that if my style had to be summed up through a footwear look, Mary Janes and frilly socks would have it down to a tee. I get told a lot that florals, frills and collars are all I'm ever seen in, but I don't think you can have too much of a good thing... the china doll look is perfect for me (and especially works well if you're on the short side).

I found these t-bars in the Asos sale a couple of months ago. They dig in a bit, but with socks like this and a pretty dress I think they're perfect for strolling to the beer garden on summer evenings like tonight.

OOTD: Chillin' Killin'

I have a day off today with absolutely no plans! I always get a bit restless when I have nothing to do and I spent yesterday evening texting round friends to see if anyone was free to have a nice day, but no-one wanted to be my friend :(((

This afternoon will be spent vegging, nail painting and making some lasagne!! (This is what life becomes when you reach 21, apparantly).

Today I'm wearing new jeans which I bought at Topshop last week. I think Topshop will always be my go-to jeans place - they fit perfectly, last forever, and with student discount they only come to £35 which I don't think is too shabby a price tag. My shirt is one of my fave charity shop finds!

Hope you all have a grand old day!! XX

Room Tour

Hooray!! This post has been on my waiting list for ages now - over the last few months, I've been sorting out my bedroom at home and a couple of weeks ago I almost cried with joy at it actually being complete!!

It took a long time and more than I care to admit of my income for this year has gone on buying precious little pieces of decor to make it perfect. I absolutely love it though, and I'm glad that all that time and effort paid off.

Big up to my mum and dad who wallpapered it while I was away in Lourdes! They also bought the bed and new carpet, which I was very grateful for.

This is going to be very photo-heavy and in respect of not wanting to crash Blogger I'm not going to caption the images, but if anyone would like to know where specific items are from, I would love to let you know in the comments! A lot of pieces are from charity shops (I love a bit of bric-a-brac) and bargain shops, so a lot of them can be bought on a budget :)

Here come the pics!!

Phewwww!! If you got to here and looked at every picture, I applaud you! I hope you like my bedroom as much as I do!

Thanks so much for reading! XX
